Here's how it looked on the Saturday. The wind was Southerly and the temperature about 11C. The wind varied of course - it is inland windsurfing after all! It was about Force 4 for the long distance photos taken from the dam, looking North at about 11am. Later on, the wind was very much Force 5 to 6 and possibly gusting stronger than that - the Met Office had issued a yellow weather warning for strong wind! At least the much promised heavy rain held off - until about 4.30pm so we all missed that completely. There were 10 or so sailors. The consensus about sail size was "anything goes" - 4.5m to 7.0m and whatever you chose would be right at some time. 5.5m-ish was about the norm by lunchtime and even that felt a bit big when the wind really got up.
