parkruns are very popular 5km runs which are held in parks all over the country. They start at 9:00am on a Saturday morning and are usually over in an hour or so. A parkrun has been set up at Watergrove every Saturday morning - the first was on Saturday 7th June. The start is near the ‘cattle grid’ on the access track to our clubhouse. Please take extra care on Saturday mornings, and be on the look-out for vehicles and pedestrians through the village and runners on the access road.
The runners may also need toilets. UU are going to put better signs up advertising the public toilets at the rear of the club. However, with the increased activity in the vicinity, would all members sailing on a Saturday morning please ensure the club front door is kept locked.
